Meet Ashley

Ashley Bradshaw is one of my three amazing roommates here at the Jerusalem Center. I love Ashley. We actually knew each other before we came. We share a common bond, we're both dancers. One day we were sitting having announcements in our dance company, when Ashley raises her hand and says that she has some exciting news. "I just got into the Jerusalem Center." Without missing a beat I replied, "I did too!" It was meant to be.

Upon finding out that we were both attending, we started planning everything together. We
would update one another if we bought anything for the trip, we would ask if we had received scholarships, we would talk about what our parents thought, it was fun and nice knowing that there'd be a familiar face. We didn't even think about requesting to be roommates, we thought we'd just see what happened. Ashley got to orientation first, called me the minute she found out who her roommates were, and I happened to be one of them. I'm not going to lie, it was nice knowing that we were going to be roommates. And so far, it's worked out splendidly.

Three reasons why I love Ashley. 1. She does crazy dance poses with me at all the best places. These two pictures were taken at the pyramids and on Mt. Sinai. 2. She doesn't even get mad at me when I borrow her clothes, spill pumpkin soup on them, wash them, and then find out that pumpkin soup stains. 3. She helps me calm my critical and judgmental sides by reminding me that if we have patience and ask for Heavenly Father's help, we can come to love all people.

Friendship. Now that's something to be excited about.
